An overwhelming sense of despair emanates from Portland, OR in the form of a trinity they call Magdalene. Since forming in 2020, the band has conjured a coven of unholy followers with their potent blend of blackened post-hardcore and dreary dirges.
Autumn 2023 sheds light on their new album, The Dying Process; a 30 minute curse that is as ambitious as it is destructive. Each song is laden with dissonant melodies, suffocating syncopations, and spellbinding vocals meant to bring the listener inches away from tangible hallucinations of the other side.
